Offered Here: Keith Richards Owned & Played 2005 Semi-Hollow Body Duesenberg Starplayer Outlaw Special Version Guitar. This 2005 Duesenberg Starplayer Outlaw Special Version, serial number 053367, was custom-crafted for Keith Richards. It features a custom pearl finish and was gifted to Ian McLagan by Richards and Ronnie Wood for his birthday. Made with a spruce top and maple body, the guitar is outfitted with skull tone and volume knobs and a unique rhinestone behind the bridge. It has an Indian rosewood fingerboard, a Duesenberg Domino P-90 neck pickup, and a Grand Vintage humbucker at the bridge, offering a classic tone.

Additional Information: Keith Richards, a member of the Rolling Stones, known for his signature guitar riffs, received a custom-crafted guitar like this, emphasizing the bespoke nature of his instruments. Ian McLagan, to whom the guitar was gifted, played keyboards for The Small Faces and The Faces, two significant bands of the 1960s and 1970s, and collaborated frequently with The Rolling Stones, underlining the interconnectedness of British rock talents of the era.

Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.

Condition: The guitar remains in very good condition, showing minimal signs of wear. It is offered with its custom plush-lined hardshell case, a black nylon guitar strap, a polishing cloth, and extra hardware, evidencing careful preservation and maintenance.
