Offered Here: Chicago 2020s Band Signed Cherry Red Sparkle Squier Telecaster

Item Details: Capture a vibrant slice of classic rock history with this band-signed Squier Telecaster, celebrating one of the most enduring groups in music history. This eye-catching instrument features a stunning cherry red sparkle finish and bears the serial number ICSD21027028. It holds deep sentimental value as it was signed for renowned guitar tech Zeke Clark during the 2021–2022 Chicago tour, which marked his very last run on the road with the legendary group.

The body is boldly autographed in black ink by 10 members of the touring lineup, including Walfredo Reyes Jr., Tris Imboden, Tony Obrohta, Ray Herrmann, Eric Baines, Carlos Murguia, Nick Lane, Lee Loughnane, Loren Gold, and Ramon Yslas. The guitar is sold as-is and remains in very good condition, though it proudly carries a large battle scar ding near the input jack that has been cleverly camouflaged under an official band decal. This rock-and-roll package is ready to display or play, coming complete with a classic tweed hardshell case, a lenticular tour poster, a collectible tote bag, and a Certificate of Authenticity (COA).

Provenance/Authenticity: Randall "Zeke" Clark is a renowned luthier and legendary guitar/amp technician who got his start in the San Francisco music scene in the 70s, working with various A-list artists until moving to LA in the 80s, where he worked for Eddie Van Halen.

From 1985 to 1993, he served as Edward Van Halen’s lead guitar and amp tech, transitioning to the crew with Sammy Hagar to maintain the band's gear through the monumental 5150, OU812, and For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge eras.

Beyond his historic tenure as the custodian of Eddie's tone, Clark's elite five-decade career includes building, repairing, and maintaining specialized gear for iconic artists such as Prince, Sammy Hagar, Journey, Heart, Poison, and others. This curated selection of items offers collectors a unique and direct connection to rock history through the hands of a master craftsman who shaped the sound of guitar royalty.

This item was personally handled, vetted, and released by Zeke Clark, ensuring its authenticity and rock-history provenance. Zeke Clark utilizes an Official Personal Signature Stamp to validate and inventory documents and artifacts released directly from his private estate. This item comes with his personal ink-imprinted signature stamp on the certificate of authenticity, which serves as his legally binding, authorized mark of verification and carries the full weight of a hand-signed signature.

Formed in Chicago in 1967 and first recording as Chicago Transit Authority, Chicago brought a full horn section to the center of rock music, blending rock, jazz, soul and pop in a way that set them apart from their contemporaries. Their catalog of numbered albums produced widely recognized songs such as "25 or 6 to 4," "Saturday in the Park" and "If You Leave Me Now," the last of which reached No. 1 in the United States in 1976. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016, the group has continued to tour and record for more than five decades, with founding trumpeter Lee Loughnane remaining part of the lineup.

Condition: Very good, sold as-is, with a large ding near the input that is covered by a Chicago decal. Comes with a tweed hardshell case.
