Covering the years from 1966 to 1969, these handbills focus on iconic West Coast venues and counterculture landmarks, featuring performances by Big Brother and the Holding Company, the Yardbirds, the Grateful Dead, and The Mothers of Invention. Also included are acts such as the Steve Miller Band, MC5, Sir Douglas Quintet, and blues artist John Lee Hooker. These items are both historic documents and striking examples of vintage graphic design from the era of psychedelic rock, blues, and proto-punk.
