Item Details: Presented here is a remarkable piece of rock concert history with this 1970s F.M. Productions tour production promotional t-shirt. This highly collectible garment represents the legendary backstage operation founded by the iconic rock promoter Bill Graham, whose production company was instrumental in staging and managing the Eagles' massive concerts during their 1970s heyday. The shirt is tagged a vintage size Medium, laying flat with measurements of 20 inches pit to pit and 25 inches in length. It serves as an incredible artifact linking the premier band of the decade with the most famous concert production team in rock music.
Formed in Los Angeles in 1971, the Eagles became one of the defining acts of the decade, blending rock, country and folk harmonies into the polished California sound heard on albums such as Hotel California, and their compilation Their Greatest Hits (1971–1975) ranks among the best-selling albums in American history. FM Productions was the staging and production arm of San Francisco promoter Bill Graham's organization, providing stages, sound, lighting and logistics for large-scale events such as the Day on the Green concerts at the Oakland Coliseum. Its work reflected the growth of rock touring in the 1970s into a stadium-sized industry that relied on dedicated professional production crews, a scale of touring at which the Eagles were among the leading draws. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
Condition: The t-shirt is in very good condition, exhibiting common signs of wear, ageing, and storage that reflect its authentic age and history on the road. There is overall light discoloration across the fabric, along with a small stain located just to the right of the central printed image. Additionally, there are four small holes situated on the lower portion of the front, positioned closer to the bottom hem.
