Offered Here: Eagles 2005 BIll Graham Presents California Tour Concert Poster B334
Item Details: This premium auction lot features an authentic, original Bill Graham Presents concert poster for the Eagles 2005 California Tour, cataloged as series number B334. This striking piece of rock memorabilia commemorates a three-city run on August 13, 14, and 19, with historic performances in Angels Camp, Rohnert Park, and Salinas, respectively. The poster showcases the brilliant, distinctive artwork of renowned poster artist Christopher Peterson, capturing the timeless spirit of the legendary band during this celebrated tour. Printed on heavy stock and measuring an impressive 22 x 32 inches, this commanding visual piece serves as a phenomenal investment for dedicated Eagles fans and serious rock art collectors alike.
The Eagles formed in Los Angeles in 1971 and became one of the defining acts of the Southern California country-rock sound, with albums such as "Hotel California" (1976) and a compilation, "Their Greatest Hits 1971–1975," that ranks among the best-selling albums in United States history. After splitting in 1980, the band reunited in 1994 for the Hell Freezes Over tour and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, remaining a major touring draw for decades afterward. Their California concerts in the 2000s carried on Bill Graham Presents' practice of commissioning numbered artist-designed posters, a tradition that began at the Fillmore in San Francisco during the 1960s and helped establish the concert poster as a recognized form of rock art.
Condition: The poster is in very good vintage condition overall, displaying beautifully while showing common characteristics consistent with handling, natural aging, and archival storage. Notable condition factors include minor signs of edge wear and typical roll warpage along the margins from being stored rolled. There is a clean two-inch tear on the left side of the poster, which does not compromise the main central artwork or the overall structural integrity of the piece. The colors remain bold and vibrant, and the poster is an excellent candidate for professional framing, which would easily minimize the noted edge imperfections.
