Offered Here: Faces 1971 'A Nod is as Good as a Wink...' Ian McLagan Back Cover Puppet Figure. This is the original puppet figure of the legendary keyboardist Ian McLagan, featured prominently on the back cover of the Faces' 1971 album, "A Nod Is as Good as a Wink... to a Blind Horse." This custom-made figure was part of the band's surreal portrait from the album art and stands at approximately 16 inches tall.

Additional Information: Released in 1971, "A Nod Is as Good as a Wink... to a Blind Horse" was Faces' third studio album and achieved commercial success with hits like "Stay with Me." Known for its distinctive cover art, the album reflected the band's unique style during the peak of the British rock era.

Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.

Condition: The figure is in exceptionally good condition for its age, retaining much of its original character and structural integrity. The right leg is loose and the left arm is bent upward due to long-term storage, but both remain attached. There is a small crack on the thumb and pinky of the left hand and traces of glue on the middle finger of the right hand. These signs of wear authenticate its history as a studio prop.
