Offered Here: Ian McLagan 1979 Vintage The Who Tour Shirt. This original black and white tour shirt originates from the personal estate of Ian McLagan, relating to The Who’s 1979 tour. Measuring 18 inches from pit to pit and 25 inches in length, the shirt lacks a size indicator but serves as an authentic artifact from a pivotal era in rock history. While intended strictly as a historical collectible for archival or display purposes, it consists of a silkscreened design that exhibits heavy cracking and thinning fabric due to age and use, though the garment remains structurally intact.

Additional Information: The Who's 1979 tour was notable for its energetic performances and came shortly after the release of their album "Who Are You," which was the last to feature drummer Keith Moon before his untimely death. This tour was a pivotal moment for the band as they coped with the loss and continued to capture their dynamic stage presence.

Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.

Condition: The shirt is in good to very good vintage condition, with noticeable fabric thinning and heavy cracking in the silkscreening, yet it remains structurally intact.
