Offered Here: Ian McLagan 2006 Eye of the Storm Painting. This acrylic on canvas painting, titled Eye of the Storm, was created in 2006 by the renowned Small Faces and Faces keyboardist Ian McLagan. Measuring 24 by 30 inches, it is an abstract piece inspired by McLagan's personal experiences with migraines, translated into vivid and rhythmic compositions.
Additional Information: In addition to his musical achievements, Ian McLagan pursued painting as a means of personal expression. His 2006 work, Eye of the Storm, exemplifies his abstract style that draws from his sensory experiences. Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.
Condition: The painting is in very good condition and presents exceptionally well, showing common signs of wear, aging, and storage consistent with a nearly two-decade-old original work. The canvas remains taut, and the acrylic pigments retain their original character, reflecting the care given to the piece since its completion.
