Offered Here: Ian Stewart 2003 Ultra Rare “Stu” Special Limited Edition Contributor Copy. This ultra-rare special limited edition contributor's copy of the tribute book "Stu" is sourced directly from the personal estate of Ian McLagan. The book features a Ronnie Wood print numbered in Roman numerals, LXXXV of CXXV (85 of 125). These editions were never available for public sale and were issued exclusively to the book's contributors, including members of The Rolling Stones, their families, crew, and key collaborators. This edition is significantly rarer than the standard original run of 950 copies.

Additional Information: The book "Stu" is a tribute to Ian Stewart, the original piano player for The Rolling Stones, who was often referred to as the "sixth Stone" due to his integral role in the band's early days. Stewart was a key figure in the band until his passing in 1985, and his contributions to their music continue to be celebrated by band members and fans alike. This edition, with its unique connection to members of the Rolling Stones, is a testament to Stewart's impact on the band and the rock genre as a whole.

Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.

Condition: The book remains in very good condition, maintaining the integrity of both the pages and the unique Ronnie Wood print included. It retains its original binding and has been well-preserved as part of Ian McLagan's personal collection.
