KISS 1978 Gene Simmons RIAA Platinum Record Award Presented to Sean Delaney
Wow! Talking about a Holy Grail KISS record award! Offered here is a platinum RIAA award for the 1978 Gene Simmons solo album, presented to the incomparable Sean Delaney. Often cited as the 'Fifth KISS,' Delaney is largely responsible for much of the stage presentation, choreography, and costumes of KISS, going back to 1973. He co-wrote many songs with Paul Stanley, including "Mr. Speed", "Makin' Love", and "Take Me" from the 1976 album Rock and Roll Over, and "All American Man" from the studio side of the 1977 album Alive II. Delaney also co-wrote the song "Rocket Ride" with Ace Frehley for Alive II and simultaneously produced and co-wrote songs for Gene Simmons' and Peter Criss' 1978 self-titled solo albums. He is the only person to ever co-write songs with each original member of KISS. Only a handful of Sean's record awards are in circulation and this might very well be the only one you will ever be able to add to your collection. The award measures 17 x 21 inches and is missing the backing paper. There is light scratching to the Plexi glass, minor fading and common wear to the frame from aging and display. The superbly prestigious award is in good overall condition.
