Offered Here: Keith Moon 1964 - 1969 Clippings & Photos Lot. This lot offers an intimate glimpse into the personal and private lives of Keith and Kim Moon, featuring an eclectic array of original clippings and rare photography. The collection comprises four vintage newspaper clippings, a fan club postcard, an original passport photo of Keith, a charming photobooth portrait of Kim, along with various candid photographs and partial contact sheets. Though showing age through some rough edges and torn contact sheets, these pieces retain their original charm and showcase their history as personal mementos.

Additional Information: Keith Moon was the drummer for The Who during the 1960s, a period marked by the band’s groundbreaking achievements and meteoric rise to fame in the rock music scene. Known for his eccentric and powerful drumming style, Moon was a key figure in shaping the sound of The Who, contributing significantly to albums like “Tommy” and “The Who Sell Out,” which were released between 1964 and 1969. This era was crucial in establishing The Who as a dominant force in rock music.

Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.

Condition: The items are in good to very good condition, with some rough edges and torn contact sheets reflecting their use. The clippings and photographs maintain their original color and detail, preserving the personal and historical significance inherent in this unique collection.
