Offered Here: Keith Moon 1965 Lot of 3 Handwritten Love Letters From June To September. This lot includes three scarce love letters penned by The Who’s iconic drummer, Keith Moon, addressed to his then-girlfriend Kim Kerrigan. Written between June and September 1965, these letters are a mix of personal and hotel stationery, where Moon recounts his experiences on tour, mentioning specific locations and the challenges of life on the road. The letters reveal the personal side of the rock legend with affectionate closings and numerous kisses, highlighting an early chapter of his personal life.

Additional Information: In 1965, The Who was in the midst of rising fame, having recently released their debut album "My Generation" later that year. The band was gaining recognition for its explosive live shows and unique sound that would eventually help define the genre of rock music. Keith Moon, known as 'Moon the Loon' for his humorous and unpredictable behavior, was a key figure in shaping The Who's early identity and musical direction.

Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists.
