Offered Here: Keith Moon 1965 Lot of 3 Handwritten Postcards. This collection includes three original handwritten postcards from The Who’s drummer, Keith Moon, sent to his then-girlfriend and future wife, Kim Kerrigan. The postcards, which are postmarked on May 5, October 10, and one other illegible date in 1965, provide insight into Moon’s early romance with Kim while he was on tour.

Additional Information: In 1965, The Who released their debut studio album, "My Generation," which became a defining influence in the rock genre. Keith Moon's dynamic and unpredictable drumming style with The Who was gaining recognition during this period. His relationship with Kim Kerrigan commenced the same year, adding a personal aspect to his life amidst his rising musical career.

Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate. Roger Epperson (REAL) Letter of Authenticity.

Condition: These postcards are in very good condition, considering their age of over 60 years. They remain well-preserved, retaining clear legibility despite the passage of time.
