Offered Here: Keith Moon 1967 Lot of 4 Handwritten Letters From The Road In August. This lot includes four handwritten letters by Keith Moon, drummer for The Who, penned to his wife, Kim, in August 1967. Composed during The Who's first U.S. tour, the letters are written on both plain and hotel stationery. They are filled with whimsical drawings, affectionate nicknames, and Moon’s fervent expressions of love.

Additional Information: During August 1967, The Who embarked on their inaugural full-length U.S. tour, touring as part of Herman's Hermits' lineup. This was a pivotal moment for the band, introducing their dynamic live style to an American audience and solidifying their international presence.

Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate. Roger Epperson (REAL) Letter of Authenticity.

Condition: The letters are in very good condition, showing authentic age-toning and original folds. The envelopes exhibit hasty tears likely from being eagerly opened by Kim Moon.
