Mothers Of Invention 1969 Original Fillmore East Concert Handbill Artwork Mock Up

A set of original transparencies used for the production of a February - April Fillmore East handbill (FME690221), featuring - among others - Mothers of Invention, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Amboy Dukes, Ten Years After, and Blood, Sweat & Tears. The ad transparency measures 7 x 10 inches, and the Bulk Rate Postage Paid transparency measures 6 1/4 x 2 1/2 inches. An image of the actual handbill is shown for illustration purposes only but is not included with this lot. Very good condition. This lot initially came from the collection of Jacaeber Kastor, a writer, artist, gallery-owner and curator of psychedelic art. He is the former owner of the successful Psychedelic Solution gallery in New York's West Village. Kastor had collected what at the time was believed to be a complete collection of Fillmore East programs, and tickets, in addition to original artwork, posters and handbills. After the closure of the gallery in 2004, Eric King, the highly respected authority on the Bill Graham poster series, authenticated this exceptional collection and brokered a sale some 20 years ago to the private psychedelic art collection of Jim Pallotta.
