Offered Here: Pace Concerts 1970s-1980s Vintage Silver Satin Logo Jacket
Item Details: A rare slice of Texas live music history, this vintage silver satin crew jacket honors the legacy of Pace Concerts, the promotional powerhouse behind decades of iconic rock shows. The back features a striking, beautifully detailed 10-inch embroidered Pace Concerts logo, complemented by a contrasting black ribbed collar, waistband, and cuffs. Unbranded with no internal tags, this zip-up jacket includes two front pockets and measures approximately 22 inches pit-to-pit by 26 inches in length. This highly collectible industry artifact shows authentic wear from the golden era of rock touring, remaining in good structural condition with two stains on the right sleeve near the cuff.
Founded in Houston by Allen Becker, Pace Concerts grew into one of the most influential regional promoters in the United States, booking major rock tours through arenas, stadiums and amphitheaters across Texas and the South during the height of the touring era. Pace was behind the Texxas Jam, the large-scale rock festival staged at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas beginning in 1978, and it played a significant part in the development of the amphitheater circuit. Its 1998 acquisition by SFX Entertainment helped consolidate the concert industry into the national promotion model that later became Live Nation.
Condition: Very good with common signs of age. Jacket is stained on the right sleeve near the cuff.
