Offered Here: Prince 1994 Set of 12 Gucci 24K Gold Plated Goblets in Custom Case Gifted to Zeke Clark With COA

Item Details: This exceptional lot features a set of twelve Gucci 24K gold plated goblets made in Italy, originally presented to Prince Rogers Nelson by Prince Albert II of Monaco during the 1994 World Music Awards, where he received and award for Outstanding Contribution to the Pop Industry. Offering an unmatched level of custom curation, each goblet is individually wrapped in a cloth napkin embroidered with Prince's iconic love symbol in the corner. The collection is housed in a bespoke wooden chest lined with thick carpet and accented with metal love symbols. Adding to its remarkable provenance, Prince later gifted this entire set to his long-time guitar technician, Zeke Clark, in recognition of services above and beyond the call of duty. As a final mark of authenticity and personal ownership, each goblet bears a stamped love symbol on the underside of its base.

Provenance/Authenticity: Randall "Zeke" Clark is a renowned luthier and legendary guitar/amp technician who got his start in the San Francisco music scene in the 70s, working with various A-list artists until moving to LA in the 80s, where he worked for Eddie Van Halen.

From 1985 to 1993, he served as Edward Van Halen’s lead guitar and amp tech, transitioning to the crew with Sammy Hagar to maintain the band's gear through the monumental 5150, OU812, and For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge eras.

Beyond his historic tenure as the custodian of Eddie's tone, Clark's elite five-decade career includes building, repairing, and maintaining specialized gear for iconic artists such as Prince, Sammy Hagar, Journey, Heart, Poison, and others. This curated selection of items offers collectors a unique and direct connection to rock history through the hands of a master craftsman who shaped the sound of guitar royalty.

This item was personally handled, vetted, and released by Zeke Clark, ensuring its authenticity and rock-history provenance. Zeke Clark utilizes an Official Personal Signature Stamp to validate and inventory documents and artifacts released directly from his private estate. This item comes with his personal ink-imprinted signature stamp on the certificate of authenticity, which serves as his legally binding, authorized mark of verification and carries the full weight of a hand-signed signature.

Prince was one of the most influential and prolific artists of the late 20th century, a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer whose fusion of funk, rock, R&B and pop helped define the Minneapolis sound and reached a mass audience with the 1984 album and film Purple Rain. In 1993 he changed his name to an unpronounceable symbol during a public dispute with Warner Bros. over creative control and ownership of his music, making the emblem a lasting part of his identity and an early, high-profile challenge to the major-label system. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, his first year of eligibility.

Condition: The twelve goblets are in extremely good condition overall, showing only minor signs of discoloration on some pieces consistent with age. The custom presentation chest is in very good condition, exhibiting common signs of wear, ageing, and storage appropriate for a vintage piece of this significance.
