Offered Here: Rolling Stones 1965 Brian Jones Photograph John Rowlands Numbered & Signed Print

Item Details: An invaluable artifact from the golden age of British rock, this evocative image features the Rolling Stones multi-instrumentalist Brian Jones during the band's historic visit to Ottawa on April 24, 1965. Captured during a crucial formative period for the group by renowned photographer John Rowlands, this authentic black and white giclee print is hand-numbered 300 out of a limited batch of 500 copies and carries the photographer's verified signature. Spanning 13 by 16 1/4 inches, this rare piece offers collectors a poignant look at the band's legendary founder and serves as a premier centerpiece for any archival rock display.

Brian Jones founded the Rolling Stones in London in 1962, gave the band its name, and steered its early sound toward the Chicago blues of artists such as Muddy Waters and Elmore James, whose slide guitar style he championed in Britain. As the group shifted toward original Jagger-Richards material in the mid-1960s, Jones broadened its palette with instruments rarely heard in rock, including sitar on "Paint It Black," marimba on "Under My Thumb," Appalachian dulcimer on "Lady Jane," and recorder on "Ruby Tuesday." He left the band in June 1969 and died the following month at age 27, and he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the Rolling Stones in 1989.

Condition: The physical condition of this historic print is exceptional. It exhibits minimal to no indications of handling wear, aging, or storage blemish, allowing the crisp fidelity of the photograph to remain beautifully intact.
