Offered Here: Ronnie Wood 1998 Ronnie Wood On Canvas Book Copy No. 760 Twice Signed To Ian McLagan. This edition features Ronnie Wood’s sketches and paintings from his career, accompanied by his commentary. The book is copy number 760 and is twice signed with an inscription that reads, “Mac n’ Kims corrected version” alongside a drawn heart. The page is signed twice, below the inscription “Ronnie + Josephine” with another heart and a nude sketch by Ronnie, marked “ref page 139” in red marker. Additionally, the cover bears handwriting reading “Elvis Presley,” which points to Ronnie Wood's name.
Additional Information: "Wood On Canvas: Every Picture Tells A Story" was published in 1998 as a collection of Ronnie Wood's artwork, revealing insights into his creative journey. The book originally included an audio CD that is not present with this copy. Wood, known as a member of The Rolling Stones and Faces, has been influential in both music and visual arts.
Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.
Condition: The book is in very good condition, despite known defects with this edition. The covering of the book and the slipcase, featuring black accents, show extensive flaking and peeling. Significant wear is present on the slip cover, including scratches and gouges on the back with the black material heavily flaking, as well as fingerprints and discoloration.
