Item Details: This is a phenomenal piece of mid-sixties rock history: an original concert tour program and an authentic ticket from Roy Orbison's historic Spring 1967 U.K. tour. Both artifacts are from the Thursday, April 6, 1967, performance at the Adelphi Theatre in Slough, England. This legendary package tour featured an extraordinary lineup of talent, with supporting performances by mod favorites The Small Faces and pop duo Paul and Barry Ryan. Most significantly, this tour marked the monumental, debut concert appearances of a newly solo Jeff Beck following his departure from The Yardbirds. Bringing together American rock and roll royalty with the absolute vanguard of British rock, this rare ticket and program combination serves as an exceptional centerpiece for any vintage music collection.
Roy Orbison was one of the most distinctive voices of early rock and roll, known for operatic ballads such as "Only the Lonely" and "Crying" and for "Oh, Pretty Woman," which topped the charts in both the United States and Britain in 1964. Condition: Both items are in good condition, presenting honest, age-appropriate handling from this historic night. The concert ticket displays light corner wear and overall surface creasing, highlighted by a pronounced crease across one corner that was previously folded over. The reverse side of the ticket includes vintage notation handwritten in black pen, recording the date and noting that the Small Faces opened the show. The companion tour program shows corner wear, spine creasing, and mild edge wear across the outer covers. The interior pages remain beautifully preserved, crisp, bright, and completely clean of any markings or ink writing.
