The Sons of Stiff Tour was a 1980 European tour that showcased five artists on the legendary Stiff Records label: Tenpole Tudor, Any Trouble, The Equators, Dirty Looks and Joe 'King' Carrasco. Featured here is a most unique folder from Victoria Strommer, the promoter for the November 18, 1980, Sons of Stiff Tour show at Palais D'Hiver in Lyon, France. Included are 24 pages of concert contracts, receipts - including the rent of a helicopter - and correspondence with Stiff Records management. Rounding out the lot are 3 unused concert tickets, as well as an original concert poster from the show that measures 20 x 30 inches. All items are generally in very good condition with common signs of aging and storage wear. This lot comes directly from the private collection of Victoria Strommer, who was a Switzerland based concert promoter and veteran music journalist and publicist. In her 40+ year career, she collaborated with a host of well-known Rock & Pop artists, with an emphasis on Hard-Rock and Heavy-Metal, such as Warlock/Doro, Dokken, Girlschool, Motorhead, Slayer and Whitesnake. More recently, Victoria has been hosting an impressive series of drum, bass, and guitar clinics in Europe.
