TLC, the Atlanta trio of Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas, became one of the best-selling girl groups in history by blending R&B, hip-hop and pop with an assertive, socially conscious sensibility. Their 1994 album CrazySexyCool was certified diamond by the RIAA and produced the Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles "Creep" and "Waterfalls," the latter addressing drug violence and HIV/AIDS. The album won the Grammy for Best R&B Album and helped define the commercial and creative peak of 1990s R&B.
