The Clash, formed in London in 1976, became one of the defining bands of the first wave of British punk and broadened the genre's reach by drawing on reggae, dub, rockabilly and funk. "The Magnificent Seven," the opening track of the 1980 triple album Sandinista!, was among the first rap-influenced songs recorded by a major rock band, written after the group encountered the emerging hip-hop scene in New York and released as a single in 1981. The band's 1982 tour of Australia was one of the final runs by the lineup of Joe Strummer, Mick Jones, Paul Simonon and Topper Headon, as Headon left the group later that year.

Condition: The U.S. pressing 12 inch vinyl record is in very good condition. The blank black record jacket is in good condition, exhibiting common signs of wear, ageing, and storage consistent with its vintage and handling.
