The Jacksons 1984 Lot of 9 Jacksonburg Picayune Tour Newsletters w/ Additional Memos
A highly collectible lot from the famous 1984 Jackson's Victory Tour. In this lot are nine different copies of The Jacksonburg Picayune, an on the road mini-newspaper / tour zine that was distributed exclusively to tour personnel with news, re-published reviews, local information, tour rumors and insight from the crew. These mini-newspapers range in size from about 11 to 15 pages, and were copied, folded and distributed. A very rare and special collection of items. Further included are three tour memos and a packet of information for the tour's stop in Toronto with Canadian tourist information. This lot comes from the private collection of veteran sound engineer Bob Bickelman, who started his career in the 1970s and has toured with countless acts over the years such as Fleetwood Mac, The Jacksons, Page & Plant, Bon Jovi, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Queen, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Tina Turner, .38 Special, Yes, No Doubt, and many others.
