Offered Here: The Tubes 1970s-1980s Indoor Banner With Hanging Pole. This rare, official A&M Records promotional banner was used during The Tubes' peak years in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Measuring 44 x 27 inches, it features a black background with silver/gray and red silkscreened graphics, including The Tubes' logo in red and the notable bent tubes design. Complete with a pole pocket for easy hanging, it was printed in the U.S.A. The banner displays expected minor wear, including two small holes, minor fraying, and a broken right post end.
Additional Information: The Tubes, an American rock band formed in San Francisco in 1972, became well-known for their theatrical live performances and satirical social commentary. Throughout their heyday in the late 1970s to early 1980s, they achieved significant popularity with albums such as "Remote Control" (1979) and "The Completion Backward Principle" (1981), both of which produced charting singles, further promoting the band's eclectic image and music style.
Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Fee Waybill, legendary front man and lead singer of iconic rock band The Tubes.
