Offered Here: Zeke Clark 1991 Gibson EDS1275 Double Neck 12 and 6 String Guitar With COA

Item Details: Get ready to double your pleasure and channel your inner rock god with this spectacular 1991 Gibson EDS-1275 doubleneck guitar. Sporting both 12-string and 6-string necks, this heavy-duty machine bears serial number 90161431 and was built right in the U.S.A. Adding a fascinating twist to its story, the back of the 6-string neck is stamped "PROPERTY OF OPRYLAND SHOW PROP" but you can rest assured this is a fully functional, real-deal tone monster, hand restored by Zeke after its life as part of the Opryland backline had ended. Emerging from the highly coveted private collection of legendary guitar tech Zeke Clark, this guitar is finished in a beautifully aged white that oozes vintage character.

As a true stage-used survivor from Opryland USA, this instrument is sold as-is and proudly wears its history with dings, scratches, heavy wear on the back, and a deep gouge around the two bottom knobs. It even features a rugged, worn-in texture on the back from a past cleaning attempt, giving it an authentic road-warrior vibe that money cannot buy. While this is an authentic, premium Gibson instrument, it will ship safely tucked inside a massive black Epiphone-labeled hardshell case, complete with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) to lock in its unique rock-and-roll pedigree.

Provenance/Authenticity: Randall "Zeke" Clark is a renowned luthier and legendary guitar/amp technician who got his start in the San Francisco music scene in the 70s, working with various A-list artists until moving to LA in the 80s, where he worked for Eddie Van Halen.

From 1985 to 1993, he served as Edward Van Halen’s lead guitar and amp tech, transitioning to the crew with Sammy Hagar to maintain the band's gear through the monumental 5150, OU812, and For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge eras.

Beyond his historic tenure as the custodian of Eddie's tone, Clark's elite five-decade career includes building, repairing, and maintaining specialized gear for iconic artists such as Prince, Sammy Hagar, Journey, Heart, Poison, and others. This curated selection of items offers collectors a unique and direct connection to rock history through the hands of a master craftsman who shaped the sound of guitar royalty.

This item was personally handled, vetted, and released by Zeke Clark, ensuring its authenticity and rock-history provenance. Zeke Clark utilizes an Official Personal Signature Stamp to validate and inventory documents and artifacts released directly from his private estate. This item comes with his personal ink-imprinted signature stamp on the certificate of authenticity, which serves as his legally binding, authorized mark of verification and carries the full weight of a hand-signed signature.

The Gibson EDS-1275 doubleneck, which took on its SG-style solid body in the early 1960s, gave guitarists 12-string and 6-string necks on one instrument so they could switch between textures within a single song without changing guitars. It became closely tied to 1970s arena rock through Jimmy Page, who used it to perform "Stairway to Heaven" live with Led Zeppelin, and Don Felder, who played one for the Eagles' "Hotel California" on stage. Its oversized, symmetrical design made it one of the most visually recognizable guitars of the era, and it remained in use with players such as Alex Lifeson of Rush.
