Offered Here: Iron Maiden 2002 Paul Di'Anno Autographed The Beast Biography First Printing Hardcover Book
Item Details: Up for auction is a highly collectible piece of heavy metal history featuring the legendary first frontman of Iron Maiden. This is a rare 2002 first printing hardcover edition of The Beast, the official autobiography of Paul Di'Anno, co-written with Dale Webb and published by John Blake Publishing. This exceptional copy is personally autographed and inscribed on the endpages by Paul Di'Anno himself, reading "Best Wishes Paul Di'Anno" in bold black marker. Capturing the raw energy and chaotic early days of one of the world's biggest rock bands, this signed volume is an essential centerpiece for any serious Iron Maiden collector or music memorabilia enthusiast.
Paul Di'Anno was Iron Maiden's lead vocalist on the band's first two studio albums, "Iron Maiden" (1980) and "Killers" (1981), recordings that helped define the New Wave of British Heavy Metal and established the group as one of its leading acts. His rough, punk-inflected delivery on songs such as "Running Free," "Phantom of the Opera" and "Wrathchild" gave early Iron Maiden an aggressive street-level edge that set it apart from the polished hard rock of the 1970s. After his departure in 1981 and replacement by Bruce Dickinson, Di'Anno continued to record and tour with projects including Battlezone and Killers, and he remained closely associated with the formative era of one of heavy metal's most commercially successful bands until his death in 2024.
Condition: The book is in very good overall condition, showing only minor signs of wear, ageing, and storage. Please note that this copy does not include a dust jacket. The binding remains tight and the internal pages are clean, presenting a well-preserved example of this scarce rock biography with a clear, prominent signature.
