Offered Here: Jeff Hanneman 2002-2003 Custom Mahogany Coffin Coffee Table
Item Details: SLAYER!!!! In 2002, Hanneman approached Nevada-based artisan Bryan Schoening, founder of the acclaimed studio Coffin It Up, to realize a vision for his personal residence. Utilizing Hanneman’s own hand-drawn blueprints, Schoening spent 12 months handcrafting an exclusive suite of furniture. Initially, the designs featured Hanneman's initial "H," which the musician later revised to a cryptic, slanted "S" intertwined with a key symbol. This huge coffee table stands as the grand finale and largest piece completed in the historic series. It is a museum-quality piece representing Hanneman's distinct personal aesthetic. Build details: heavy-duty authentic copper handles, a functional toe kick base gives the heavy structure a floating profile and masterfully carved from select solid mahogany wood, choosing dense grains for weight and permanence. The coffin measures 66 x 24 x 18 inches (LxWxH) and is overall in very good condition, shows light signs of domestic use consistent with its history inside the Hanneman estate. These items are oversized and local pick up is highly encouraged. Shipping will be exorbitant and will most likely be a freighted item, so please bid knowing that shipping these items will be costly. You are responsible for the cost of shipping these oversized items.
Provenance / Authenticity: COA signed by the woodworker and the former owner

His fast, aggressive riffing and dark lyrical themes shaped the sound of thrash and influenced generations of death and black metal musicians, and he remained a member of Slayer until his death in 2013.
