Released in 1989, Mötley Crüe's Dr. Feelgood was the first album the band recorded after its members got sober, and it became their only record to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Produced by Bob Rock in Vancouver, it yielded the singles "Dr. Feelgood" and "Kickstart My Heart" and is widely regarded as a high point of the late-1980s Los Angeles hard rock and glam metal scene. The supporting world tour was the band's last with vocalist Vince Neil before his 1992 departure, closing out the group's most commercially successful era just as grunge began to reshape mainstream rock.
