This is a numbered copy (759) of "Wood On Canvas: Every Picture Tells A Story," a 1998 publication by Ronnie Wood featuring sketches and paintings from his career with accompanying commentary. The book includes a CD and is twice signed and inscribed by Wood, with the inscription noting, “this is my real signature Mac……..”. The signatures are dated 2011.
Additional Information: Ronnie Wood is an accomplished artist known for his work in both music and visual arts. "Wood On Canvas" showcases his artistic exploration outside of music, having first exhibited his paintings in the 1980s. This book was released at the height of his career with the Rolling Stones, where he continued to explore his dual passions for art and music.
Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.
Condition: The book is in very good condition with noted issues. Common defects for this edition include flaking and peeling of the outer material of the slipcase and covering, particularly where black accents are featured.
