Offered Here: The Muleskinners 1963-1965 Business Card with Ian McLagan Hand-Drawn Thor Sketch. This unique piece features a hand-drawn sketch of the comic book and Norse mythology hero, Thor, by Ian McLagan, using blue ballpoint pen on the reverse side of a Muleskinners business card. The card, approximately 2.5 x 3.5 inches, is an example of McLagan's artistic talent outside of his musical endeavors.
Additional Information: Ian McLagan was known for his influential role as the keyboard player for The Small Faces and Faces, bands that had a significant impact on the mod and rock scenes of the 1960s and 1970s. During 1963-1965, the Muleskinners was one of McLagan's early musical ventures, prior to his mainstream success. His contributions extend to performing and recording with notable artists such as The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan.
Provenance/Authenticity: This lot comes directly from the private collection of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, legendary founder and keyboard player of iconic rock band The Small Faces / Faces. McLagan who also toured with The Rolling Stones, The New Barbarians and Bob Dylan, and recorded with dozens of artists. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Lee McLagan, on behalf of the Ian McLagan estate.
Condition: The business card is in very good condition, showing minimal wear and retaining clear visibility of Ian McLagan's hand-drawn sketch of Thor. The dimensions of the card are approximately 2.5 x 3.5 inches.
