Offered Here: W.A.S.P. Blackie Lawless 2002 Studio Used & Autographed Bronze Series By B.C. Rich Warlock Guitar

Item Details: Up for auction is a magnificent piece of heavy metal history: a black and chrome Bronze Series B.C. Rich Warlock guitar, studio-used by W.A.S.P. frontman Blackie Lawless. This exact instrument was utilized during the 2002 recording sessions for the tracks "Black Bone Torso" and "Trail of Tears" from the band's acclaimed album Dying for the World. Personally inscribed and signed by the metal legend himself in silver paint pen, the body proudly reads, "I used on 'Dying For The World' - Blackie Lawless." This aggressive-style axe features dual humbuckers, a three-way selector switch, two control knobs, and amazingly remains strung with the original strings used during those historic studio sessions. While it shows minor cosmetic paint and body wear on the bottom edge near the input jack from authentic studio deployment, the guitar remains in very good condition overall and comes complete with a hardshell case for secure storage. A holy grail artifact for shock rock and heavy metal collectors, this prized lot includes a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) hand-signed by Blackie Lawless to solidify its exceptional rock and roll provenance.

Provenance / Authenticity: COA signed by Blackie Lawless -- Model WG-ST/BK -- SERIAL NO. 00101901

W.A.S.P., formed in Los Angeles in 1982 by Blackie Lawless, became one of the most controversial acts of the 1980s heavy metal scene, known for theatrical shock rock stage shows and for the single "Animal (Fk Like a Beast)," which the Parents Music Resource Center placed on its "Filthy Fifteen" list during the 1985 debate over explicit lyrics. As the band's singer, guitarist and principal songwriter, Lawless later moved toward more ambitious material, most notably the 1992 concept album The Crimson Idol, and the 2002 album Dying for the World was written largely in response to the September 11 attacks. The B.C. Rich Warlock, a sharply angled design introduced in the early 1980s, became closely associated with the visual style of heavy metal during the same era in which W.A.S.P. rose to prominence.

Condition: Very good, as-is, with the bottom horn near the input having some minor paint and body damage.
